itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>As part of this Metis initiative, the Beeworkers artists&#8217; collective is developing an inclusive creative project in Conakry that challenges perceptions and renews attitudes towards visual impairments. The project is based at the Centre Sogu\u00e9, a key facility for supporting visually impaired and blind children and teenagers, particularly through the teaching of Braille.<\/p>\n<p>Every week, two dance workshops and one visual arts workshop are offered there. Based on feeling, listening and perceiving movement in space, they shift the way we look at disability, turning it into a creative force. The choreographic work interacts with a tactile and sensory exploration of drawing and sculpture, enriched by an outing to the forest where sounds, smells and textures feed the imagination. The two artistic disciplines are used in a complementary way to experiment with creativity based on the ability to feel differently.
