Take action

Because working at the intersection of Arts & Development requires specific knowledge, skills, and ways of being… Through this program, Metis aims to strengthen the expertise and capacities of cultural and development actors, enhancing their commitment to Arts & Development.

Skills development

Metis creates, runs and contributes to training courses and workshops aimed at stakeholders wishing to become involved in an Arts & Development dynamic (workshops, case studies, impact assessments, etc.).

The “Metis Lab”

The Metis Lab develops a dynamic of studies, debates and exchanges on the subject of Arts & Development, which nourishes and embodies the research/action philosophy of the Metis fund.

The “Metis Mobility” program

This scheme encourages the sharing of South-South experiences between artists. Artists who have already collaborated with Metis are eligible for a grant to enable them to meet. These new exchanges reinforce their commitment and impact.

Impacts and monitoring-evaluation of Metis

Reflection on the possible impacts and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation system for the Metis Fund.

How can we think about the results and impacts of initiatives that use art as a driving force to tackle development issues? This is the question that Quadrant Conseil seeked to answer for the Metis Fund in 2023. In this document, you will find tools that open up avenues of reflection for imagining and building projects that mobilise the senses, while thinking about monitoring and evaluation.
